Guys,

I hope this email finds you all well!  The comments about our reunion are still coming in.  Thanks to all that attended and for those who didn’t attend . . . you were missed.

Interesting facts about the class of ’67:

 1.       We had the highest percentage (34%) of alumni donors than any other class in 2006-2007.  The next highest class was 1943 with 33%.  (Source: The 2006-2007 BGA Annual Report)

 2.      We had the largest number of contributors (18) than any other class in 2006-2007.  The next highest class was 1987 with 16. (Source: The 2006-2007 BGA Annual Report)

 3.      The Michael I. Mott ’67 Scholarship Fund has grown to $38,306 since November 2005.  WE NEED TO MAKE THAT FUND GROW!  We had only fifteen contributors to that fund in 2006-2007.  Of the nineteen Endowment Funds in Support of Student Financial Aid, the fund ranks fifteenth.  The largest fund is $1,009,000 and the smallest is $16,584.  (Source: The 2006-2007 BGA Annual Report)

 4.      To my knowledge, we had the greatest number of attendees at our 40th class reunion.  We had 33 out of 60 living classmates attend one or more of the four official events.  (Source: Head count by our official head counter)

 5.      ’67 has the most members (5) in the BGA Hall of Fame of any other class.  WE NOW HAVE ONE MORE.  Ralph McCracken will be inducted on June 14, 2008 at the Embassy Suites in Cool Springs/Franklin, TN.  Check our website http://bga67.jhamptonweb.com/index.html or the BGA website www.battlegroundacademy.org/podium/default.aspx?t=101060 for additional information.  PLEASE MAKE PLANS TO ATTEND!

And finally, I hope you will consider remembering BGA in you giving plans.  Any amount improves the Class of ‘67 percentage of participation.  Pick an amount, your age, $67.00, the current year, your favorite lottery number or at least your GPA. The school, your classmates and future BGA students will be very appreciative!  Go to www.battlegroundacademy.org/podium/default.aspx?t=15849 for more information.

Thanks,

Eddie ‘67
